Assam: Sal logs loaded vehicles seized in Barpeta and Goalpara

GUWAHATI: The Goalpara Forest Department has seized a vehicle loaded with sal log in Rongjuli Range in the district yesterday.

Reportedly, the forest personnel of Dhupdhara Beat of Ronjuli Range detected and seized the Mahindra DI vehicle at around 2 am last night as per the direction of Salim Ahmed, Forest Range Officer, Rongjuli Range.

Several logs were seized in the raid from the vehicle.

In another operation conducted by Goutam Mahanta, Forest Range Officer, Barpeta Road Range and his personnel at Zabrimari area under Kalgeshia Police Station in Barpeta district on Tuesday, six numbers of matured sal logs were recovered.
