Intensifying strict search operation against the timber smuggling, forest department staff, anti-corruption and crime investigation front and Bodoland environmental protection society have seized 20 pieces of illegally smuggled Sal logs at Balangga Gongia River under Dotma police station in Kokrajhar district, Assam on Saturday evening.

The seized logs have been brought to forest office Kachugaon, Assam.
Notably, a few days ago, forest department staffs have busted several Illegallly run sawmill, seized five dumpers for carrying illegally sand mining and recovered huge amounts of timbers stored at different places under Chirang forest division in Chirang district and its adjoining areas.
