GOLAGHAT: The ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict has proved to be one of the most enduring conflicts in history. Along with the loss of lives and property, many are still stuck in the war-affected areas which also include several international students.
Reportedly, one of those students is a girl from Upper Assam's Golaghat district. As per reports, the girl has been identified as Naziha Tarannam, a Ph.D. scholar at Ben Gurian University residing in Negrev, Isreal.
For survival, Naziha and her fellow scholars had to take shelter in the bunkers of the university.
As the siren went off, the students of the university made their way to the bunkers which became the last resort when the conflict aggravated.

Doing her Ph.D. in Chemistry, Naziha is currently in her 4th year of her research which has been hindered due to the conflict.
Her family residing in her native town is concerned for her safety and has been constantly praying for the situation to improve soon.
“We are extremely concerned about the safety of our daughter. We are just not able to eat or sleep till we hear from her. How can we be at peace when our daughter is living away from home that too in a war torn region. We just want her to be safe”, said Naziha’s mother.
Expressing concern, Naziha’s father appealed to the state as well as the central governments to make arrangements to ensure the safety of the Indian students stuck in the conflict. He further thanked the government for providing regular updates about the situation and said he is hoping for the war to be over soon.
