According to reports, the former Karimganj SP's lawyer will once again approach the Court seeking his bail.

The advocate of Kumar Sanjit Krishna will again move to court seeking bail plea of the former Karimganj SP.

Krishna was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Thursday evening in connection with the Assam Police sub-inspector (SI) question paper leak case.

The name of the senior police official surfaced in the scam after one of the accused Rubul Hazarika named him as the official who had given him access to the question papers against payment of hefty sum.

The question paper was first leaked in Karimganj and both Sanjit Krishna and Ex Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) PK Dutta were key collaborators in the leak. Dutta too has been arrested from the Indo-Nepal border by police and is currently being interrogated in the case.
