Assam son cycles from Sadiya to Dhubri to promote NE as tourism destination

On February 16, Biswajit Bezbaruah, a resident of Assam, started a journey from Sadia in Upper Assam to Dhubri in Lower Assam on his bicycle. The youth has started the initiative to showcase the North Eastern as well as Assam tourism sector.

After reaching Guwahati, Bezbaruah addressed the media at the Guwahati press tour where he discussed his journey. Bezbaruah said: “My reason for cycling is to attract foreign tourists to the Northeast. I honestly believe that Assam tourism has a lot of scope in cycling.”

Bezbaruah criticized the poor conditions of the roads that he had to traverse on during his 600-km journey so far and informed that he will reach his destination Dhubri on 14 March.
