ASSAM: STUDENT COMMITS SUICIDE IN COLLEGE HOSTEL

A mysterious case of suicide by a student

The social upheavals in the state continues. A student of Royal Global University College  in Guwahati committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan. The student named Ranjan Gogoi took the extreme step in his hostel room in the University Hostel premises.

Speaking to Insidene, Ranjit Das, Officer in charge of Gorchuk Police Station, told  that the deceased was a 4th semester student of Mechanical Engineering. He said that the reason behind the act is yet not known. He also said that the Police is undertaking a thorough investigation to find out the exact reason behind the act.
