Assam: Suspected DNLA Linkman Detained in Dima Hasao Districtsuspected

Halflong, August 15, 2019:

A joint operation of police and Assam Rifles on Thursday launched in Longaobra under Maibang Police Station detained a suspected linkman of the militant group, DNLA from Maibang bazaar.

The suspected linkman has been identified as Bidyut Langthasa alias Ringham who is a resident of Jupuripar village in Diphu.

Ringham has been detained for interrogation at Langting Police Station for alleged contacts with Musrang alias Naiding Dimasa, a self-styled Finance Secretary of the DNLA.

It is to be mentioned that on August 11, two over-ground workers of Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) were apprehended by the Police and Assam Rifles on Friday night in a joint operation in Dima Hasao district of Assam.
