The tableau of Assam dazzled at the 71st Republic Day celebrations held in Rajpath, New Delhi.
With a display of bamboo and cane craft, Assam added to the color and charm of the Republic Day parade.

It showcased the hard work and dedication of the local bamboo craftsman and tribal weavers in the state. The tableau presented a woman using a loin loom that has a back strap with a continuous horizontal warp, which is commonly used to weave traditional clothes.
It also displayed the various dance forms of the state, especially Bhoor-Taal dance of Assam.
