Assam: Tension prevails in Margherita after attempts to assassinate Buddist Monk

Tension Prevails at Margherita Region when a Notorious youth of Margherita tried to kill Bhikkhu Indasara Junior Buddhist Monk of Margherita Buddha Vihar during evening hours on Friday. Victim Bhikkhu Indasara of Margherita Buddha Vihar said that on Friday evening I came out for an evening walk suddenly Biki Baruah notorious youth of Margherita who was riding his Bullet Motorcycle hit me from the Backside and again when I wake up Biki Baruah again hit me which I received a serious injury at my legs and hand and Biki Baruah warned me that I will be killed by him.

After hitting me Biki Baruah fled from there and became unconscious which nearby people took me to nearby hospital for treatment said Bhikkhu Indasara. Today I went to Margherita Police Station which I submitted a FIR and demand Margherita Police to necessary action against the culprit Biki Baruah and give him strict punishment said Bhikkhu Indasara.

Chintu Gogoi President of Margherita Regional Student Union have condemned the incident where an innocent Buddhist Monk Indasara Bhikkhu got attacked by Biki Baruah which I demand Margherita Administration(Civil) and Margherita Police to immediately take action against Biki Baruah and give him strict punishment according to Law.

Earlier, the Margherita unit of Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chhatra Parishad ( AJYCP ) on Tuesday staged a protest at erosion site at Nadhing river in Tinsukia district of upper Assam demanding immediate and permanent solution of the problem. A long human – chain was made to protest against the erosion issue.
