ASSAM: THE THIRD DAY OF GRAND AMBUBACHI GOES OFF WELL

The third day of the holy congregation continues with a lot expected devotees from around the world. The state observed Ambubachi Mela 2018 with thousands of devotees, saints and sadhus across the world. The beautiful presentation of the “Baul Geet” mesmerised the devalaya complex and attracted the devotees.The door of the kamakhya temple was closed on 22nd june at 9:27pm and will continue to remain close till 7:51a.m of 26th june. The city witnessed reportedly the best facilities provided by the GMDA and GMC departments of Guwahati. Proper help desk with easily accessible facilities were provided with regular announcements. A good number of rest camps were set up for the betterment of the visitors. The Police Department has been serving the temple complex while dividing into fourteen different parts and appointing SP officers in six different zones. Best transportation facilities from Kamakhya gate till the temple complex was provided. Special buses were provided for the senior citizens. The police forces provided strict actions for the general public.

It can also be noted that Ambubachi Mela 2018, observed many foreign pilgrimage and many sadhu’s and sanyas from different zones.

According to sources, a lot amount of 30,000 devotees visited the holy congragation on the third day.
