Assam Singer Zubeen Garg is rightfully called the heartthrob of the state. Residents of a Tinsukia village have expressed their love for Zubeen by deciding to construct a bamboo bridge.

Residents of Kakopothar of Tinsukia district are building the bamboo bridge by the name of “Zubeen Garg Bridge”.

In order to express their love for Zubeen Garg, they decided to work and build the bamboo bridge with the help of each other.

According to reports, the bridge is 490 metres in length and is mainly intended to solve the problem of commuting from one place to the other after the 1992 floods that swept away the previous bridge. Since then, there has been no bridge over the Nohdihing river in Kakopothar.

Taking to his official Facebook account, Singer Zubeen Garg extended his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kakopothar. He wrote, “My respect and salute to the people of Kakopothar fr this overwhelming love and affection for me. Planning to come on 29th Feb to inaugurate it.”

Zubeen will be joining the people of Kakopthar and launch the “Zubeen Garg bridge on February 29, Saturday.
