Assam's Dibrugarh district has ordered the closure of all kinds of liquor shops from 4 pm on Tuesday in view of Dol Yatra.
In exercise upon the power conferred under section 52(1) of the Assam Excise Act, 2000, the Additional District Magistrate, Dibrugarh, Ranjit Konwar has ordered the closure of all kinds of liquor shops in the district from 4 pm onwards.

Following the order, all the wholesale warehouses of foreign liquors or country-made liquors, retails shops and all other establishments dealing with liquor will remain closed from 4 pm today.

Violation of the order will be dealt with strictly as per the Assam Excise Act, according to Dibrugarh authority.
