Assam: Transport Cell formed to facilitate smooth movement of incoming people to Hailakandi

In a bid to streamline the movement of people coming from outside the district through various modes of transport, the Hailakandi district administration has constituted a transport facilitation cell.

An order to this effect was issued by Deputy Commissioner, MN Dahal on Wednesday.

Headed by District Development Commissioner, Vikram Dev Sharma, the 11-member cell will ensure transportation of inbound passengers, keep proper upkeep of record of incoming passengers boarding the buses and strictly enforcing social distancing norms by all passengers during boarding and travelling.

Besides the DDC, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Health, EL Faihraem, Assistant Commissioner, Parikshit Phukan, Assistant Commissioner, Mongve Enghi, District Transport Officer, Sayed Rafiqul Mannam, Enforcement Inspector, Sahabuddin Tapadar and five others are also members of the cell.
