Tinsukia, October 23, 2019:

The United Liberation Front of Asom- Independent (ULFA- I) called the family of abducted tea estate employee Gorang Dey, eleven days after his abduction. Dey was the head feeder of Shakar Tea Estate in Tinsukia.

Gorang Dey was abducted by suspected ULFA- I cadres on October 11.

According to Priyanka Dey, daughter of Gorang, she received a phone call from an ULFA(I) cadre,and she was told that her father was fine and safe. Following this, she tried to talk to the owner of the tea estate but was not available.

It has been also alleged that after the abduction, the owner did not make any contacts with the family.

However, Priyanka has intimidated the police officials regarding the phone call from ULFA.
