ASSAM: ULFA(I) LINKMEN APPREHENDED IN SONARI

The Maibela Army Camp of Dao Division alongwith Police  busted an active network of ULFA(I) linkmen of over ground workers at Sonari. Based on the input of two active ULFA(I) over ground workers at Diamond Hotel, Sonari, Maibela Army Camp launched an operation and apprehended Mr Durlabh Konwar @ Moon 23 years, R/O Mahamara and Mr Niranjan Borgohain @ Nion 28 yrs R/O Barahi Gaon.

One 9mm Pistol, One Magazine, Two 99 mm Live Rounds and Two Mobile Phones. The apprehended individuals revealed that they have assisted ULFA(I) in collection of extortion and are involved in Arms smuggling and fresh recruitment and also action on behest of the hardcore listed cadre ULFA(I) operating from Nagaland and Mynmar.

They were handed over to theb Sonari Police on 16th May. This expose of the active ULFA(I) in the region brought a big jolt to the insurgent groups operating from foreign soil.
