Veteran journalist Mozahedul Haque passed away at a private hospital here in Guwahati, Assam in the wee hours of May 21, 2020. He was 50. He is survived by his wife and son.
He took his last breath at the Dispur Hospital at around 4 am after struggling with various ailments for a long time.
Haque, who originally hailed from Dhubri in Western Assam, was associated with Natun Dainik and Asomiya Khabar, one of the forefront vernacular language newspapers. He had also worked for Sandhya Batori.

The journalist with the ability to give significant insights to stories perused his graduation from BN College and masters from Gauhati University, the leading university of Northeast India.
The Journalists’ Forum Assam (JFA) has expressed its profound grief at the untimely demise of the journalist. The forum hailed his enormous contribution to the journalism field.
