ASSAM: WALKATHON TO COMMENCE FROM 15TH JULY

The Assam Skill Development Mission is all set to celebrate the World Youth Skill Day and organise a week long program named as ‘Walkathon’. The following was stated in a press conference addressed by Anand Prakash Tiwari, the mission director of ASDM. He further stated that skilling should be selected as the first option by the youth of today. While speaking about the week long event that is going to commence on 15^th July, a  rally  will take place where the participants will walk through Latasil then Dighalipukhuri road followed by High court and DC office and back through the same route. The program will end on 24^th of July where a skill conclave will take place on 23 rd and 24^th of July. The skill conclave will follow a limited job fair that will be participated by 28,000 trainers of the skill development training centres. Added the week long program will have workshops, skill training programs etc.

It can also be noted that, the premier skill development institute will be completed by November at Gorchuk this year with a total capacity of around 400 seats with courses including Hospitality, Retailing, Beauty courses etc.
