ASSAM: WEARING HELMETS BY BIKE RIDERS MADE MANDATORY BY GOLAGHAT POLICE

An important initiative by Golaghat Police to curb road accidents

The Golaghat Police trolled the different areas of the district to get a stock of the number of people riding without helmets on Tuesday. A penalty of Rs.500 was charged from every rider without a helmet. The Police made it compulsory to wear helmets in the wake of several fatal accidents in the state.

Such a measure is to ensure and bring down the fatality of road accidents
