33-year-old Assam woman attacked with acid on Valentine's Day

DIBRUGARH: Valentine's Day turned dangerous for a 33-year-old woman from Assam's Dibrugarh as she was attacked with acid while she returning from work.

 

According to reports, she was attacked with acid as she was returning from duty from Sohum Shoppe in Dibrugarh.

 

The incident took place near Mirzabaag under Amolapatty Police out post in Dibrugarh town.

The girl sustained severe injuries and has been admitted to the Assam Medical College & Hospital, Dibrugarh (AMCH).

 

Police have registered a case and started an investigation to nab the culprit(s).

 

In a similar incident, a 25-year-old teacher by profession was attacked with an acid-like substance in Fatasil Ambari area of Guwahati in 2019. The potent substance caused extensive damage to her leg.
