Assamese singer Simanta Sekhar has never watched any Assamese film

At a time when the Assamese film industry is undergoing a resurgence of sortd with films like 'Village Rockstars' and 'Bornodi Bhotiyai'wowing audiences and critics alike, Assam’s leading musical artist Simanta Sekher has dived headlong into controversy by saying that he watched any assamese film till date.

The music artist who wiggles into controversies at times has given shocked the culture-loving Assamese community by admitting that he has not watched any movies churned out by the Assam industry.

Simanta Sekhar who has got recognition from the very state of Assam has eventually stated that none of the assamese film except Village Rockstar could stand up to the mark. Strange, right?

It may also be mentioned that the artist who hails from Assam has the habit of creating controversial scenarios only during the time of Rongali Bihu.

"I have never missed any Bollywood movies" the artist further stated in an interview, raising further eyebrows.
