ASSAM:GOVT OFFICIALS REVIEW INTERNAL LAW AND ORDER OF DISTRICTS

A team of senior Govt of Assam officers led by Chief Secretary Smti T Y Das and comprising of Shri Alok Kumar Addl CS Home, Shri Kuladhar Saikia DGP Assam, Shri Pallab Bhattacharyya Spl DGP SB Assam , Shri Harmeet Singh ADGP(Security), Smti L Changson Principal Secretary Home and Shri Deepak Kumar IGP Law and Order visited Nagaon District today and took stock of the emerging law and order and internal security situation of the districts of Nagaon, Morigaon, West Karbi anglong and Hojai Districts . The DCs, SPs and senior officers of police, Army and other CAPFs engaged in the districts took part in the discussion. The various issues relating to internal security and emerging law and order situation were discussed threadbare . The importance of constant interaction with people of all walks of life to allay any apprehension of public, the facility available to all in respect of claims and objections for which an exhaustive awareness programme is launched , and other relevant issues were highlighted. This is the fourth meeting by the high powered team which will also visit all the remaining districts of Assam in the near future before publication of draft NRC.
