After the sensational news of six active ULFA(I) cadres  surrendering before Assam Police that shook the state, now another development comes to light when in a press release forwarded by ULFA(I) faction, it clearly  stated that the six members that surrended are not related to the ULFA(I) unit. It may also be noted that the press release mentioned that the surrendering people were under police surveillance from a period of 8 months. While it also mentioned that the cadres left the ULFA(I) militant group many years back and was associated with illegal demanding of money in the name of ULFA(I). The cadres have already mentioned through a press release about informing the militant group if any anomalies relating to fraud happen in the name of ULFA(I).

While framing it to be a  game of police the press release  states that the timing of the press meet addressed by the Director General of Police was unnecessary.  While the press forward states that this type of cases comes to light in order to defame the militant group. It may also be noted that the revolution which is trending over social media about the open urges of the youth to join ULFA(I) is creating  a threat for the society as mentioned by the police force. The press release lastly mentioned that along with this six active cadres that surrendered before the police, five more yet to be unveiled to who are now under Police Enforcement.
