GUWAHATI: The campaigning for the second phase of both the Assam and West Bengal assembly elections will come to an end today evening around 6 pm.
In Assam, the second phase polls will be held in 39 assembly constituencies for which a total of 345 candidates among 26 women are in the fray.
The voting for the second phase of polls will be held on April 1.
In West Bengal, the second phase poll for 30 seats spread across four districts will be held on April 1.

For a total of 3o constituencies, 171 candidates are in the fray, including 19 women.
Meanwhile, today, both political party leaders and candidates are busy campaigning at the last minute to woo the voters.
After the specified time, any kind of poll rally, procession, or show of election matters using a cinematograph or similar apparatus is prohibited by the election authority.
It also restricts the public dissemination of any election matter by conducting musical concerts, theatrical shows, or other entertainment programmes in any polling area for a span of 48 hours in order to attract the public.
