ATASU terms Sarbananda Sonowal as Jatiya Khalnayak

Guwahati, November 16, 2018:

On the final day of the Sankalp Sikha Yatram, the All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) termed Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal as “Jatiya Khalnayak”.

Little Buragohain, president, ATASU speaking during the ongoing protest meeting in Dispur said that the Chief Minister no longer deserves to be call as the Jatiya Nayak of Assam as his actions does not indicate any signs of being called a hero that would save the state. “He is a Jantiya Khalnayak who is in favour of destroying Assam by bringing in a massive number of Hindu Bangladeshis in Assam and making the Assamese a minority in their own state”, he added.

It may be mentioned that the ATASU is among the 70 organisations in Assam that has joined hands in order to oppose the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
