Bajali College of Pathsala to soon be upgraded to Bhattadev University

Guwahati, March 31, 2019:

In a great bit of news for students of Assam, the historic Bajali college of Pathasala, located in the heart of the town, will soon be upgraded to the Bhattadev University.

The Government has already started the procedure and 26 colleges in Barpeta and Nalbari (17 in Barpeta and 9 in Nalbari) districts will be brought under the aegis of Bhattadev University. The decision has been taken by the Education Department of the Government of Assam.

The Government has also given advertisements for the post of Vice Chancellor of Bhattadev University and has allotted funds of Rs 2.60 crores for construction of the University. Construction work has begun and concerned authorities are looking to complete it at the earliest.
