Bangladeshi smuggler apprehended with cattle at Indo-Bangla border

Guwahati, May 5, 2019:

The troops of Border Security Force of Guwahati Frontier apprehended a Bangladeshi cattle smuggler along with cattle on 05 May 2019 from bordering areas of West Chamta in West Bengal's Coochbehar district.

The smuggler was nabbed during a special ambush laid by the BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) West Chamta near the Indo-Bangladesh border. Alerted troops observed the suspicious movement of some miscreants along with cattle towards the border on Sunday 2019 at about 3 am in the morning. they were challenged.

The alerted troops pursued the smugglers and apprehended one of them before he could cross the International Boundary along with cattle.

The apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Amir Hussain (35), a resident of Lalmunirhat district in Bangladesh. He has been handed over to the authorities at Sitai Police Station for further legal action.
