Bangladeshi Woman arrested in Guwahati

Guwahati, November 13, 2018:

A suspected Bangladeshi woman has been arrested by the Guwahati Police on Tuesday from ISBT.

D Kalita, OC, Garchuk Police said, “Police arrested the woman from ISBT. She was caught on suspicion as she came to ISBT and asked the attendant at the counter for a ticket to Bangladesh.”

Kalita informed that the attendant first informed the outpost at the ISBT and then when the police questioned her, it was found that she was a resident of Bangladesh who entered the country illegally.

When the police interrogated her, it came to light that she was a resident of Dhaka in Bangladesh.
