Bhubaneswar Kalita criticizes Tarun Gogoi for allying with AIUDF

Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita has slammed former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi for allying with the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF)  for the ensuing 2021 state assembly polls. Kalita alleged Gogoi of engaging in dynasty politics. Kalita also termed Gogoi as a power hungry character.

A former Congress man Kalita, also alleged that there were talks on Congress-AIUDF pact when he was the president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee but the alliance did not work out as other Congress leaders were against the alliance. Kalita said that it was Gogoi who strongly opposed the alliance with AIUDF at that point of time.
