Rajya Sabha MP from Assam Biswajit Daimary, belonging to the Bodo People's Front (BPF) party on Monday launched into a tirade against political rival Naba Kumar Sarania at the Rajya Sabha while delivering a motion of thanks on the President's Address in the Rajya Sabha.
The firebrand politician slammed Sarania while discussing the insurgency problem in the Northeastern region.
"There is an ULFA militant who has been elected as an MP in the Lok Sabha called Naba Kumar Sarania", he said. "He has not surrendered his arms, he is still in the discussion process. An ULFA militant has become an MP, and now many ULFA cadres will now come and sit in the Parliament.."
The BPF leader also stated that the role of interlocutor should be monitored as the recent ULFA-orchestrated blast took place right under the noses of the interlocutor. He also added that the blast was carried out by ULFA leaders who were sitting at the peace talks.
"Many crore rupees have been spent in the name of interlocutors, but none of these problems have been solved thus far", he lamented.
Daimary also turned heads by delivering the initial part of his address in the Bodo tongue. He said that the Bodo language is one of the oldest languages in the country that is spoken mostly in Assam and Nepal.
“It is a matter of great pride that this language has the most words to express emotions, or describe any object in the entire world. This is a very rich language, but we have been unable to tell anyone about this language, and researchers have not been able to determine where and when it originated”, Biswajit Daimary said.
Daimary also said that this language was widely spoken in many regions in Nepal, West Bengal, and Bangladesh as far back as 2,000 years ago.
