BJP-AGP combine not a factor for Congress: Ripun Bora

Guwahati, November 13, 2018:

Assam Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ripun Bora said even if the BJP and the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) align to fight the upcoming panchayat elections, it would not be a factor for the Congress.

“We will perform well in the polls. There will surely be bitterness and grievances among ticket aspirants. However, this will not affect our poll prospects. We are in a powerful position,” he claimed.

The two-phase panchayat polls will be held on December 5 and December 9.
