SILCHAR: Himanta Biswa Sarma, the BJP's point man in the Northeast, in the presence of BJP Central President J P Nadda, asserted that the party has resolved to win each and every Seat in the Barak Valley in the Assembly Polls due to be held later this year.
"We were, are, and will be with the people of Barak," the Minister said, adding, "The BJP has resolved to make the lotus flower bloom in every seat in Barak valley. On top of that, we have resolved to achieve our target of winning 100 Seats and forming the Government in Dispur once again."
At the same time, the Minister stated that many developmental projects have been undertaken in Silchar.
Highlighting the policies of the Government, Sarma further stated that through its various schemes and policies, the saffron party has fulfilled its promises to the people.
Addressing a crowd during the party's 'Vijay Sankalp' tour stop in Silchar, Sarma said that the BJP party had resolved to end Congress rule way back in 2016, when Prime Minister Modi made a pit-stop in Assam to campaign for polls. "Back then, we decided that we would end the Congress' appeasement politics of Huta. Kombol, Lungi politics in Assam," Sarma said.

Yesterday, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal had claimed that the Barak Valley remained underdeveloped for several years during the Congress rule and charged that a bulk of the funds allocated for the progress of the valley were embezzled when the Congress was in power.
Nadda, making an address, asserted that under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the BJP and its allies will cross 100 seats in the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections to be held in 2021.
Nadda, after addressing the rally in Silchar left for Guwahati later in the day, to hold meetings with members of the party's state unit core committee, election committee, and other office-bearers At Amingaon PWD Guest House where he will be staying overnight. He will also visit the Kamakya temple in Guwahati.
