BJP minister alleged of bribing people to vote for them?

Guwahati, November 30, 2018:

As panchayat election in Assam approaches, a video has been circulated where it has been seen that a BJP Minster, namely Bhabesh Kalita was alleged of offering money to some locals for bringing them to vote at the panchayat polls.

Kalita was seen sitting in car where he was offering money to some people for some vehicles. It was alleged that he was paying some locals to vote for the BJP.

However, speaking to InsideNE, Bhabesh Kalita said that the allegations are just speculations and there was nothing like that.

He said, “The money that I was offering the persons was the fare of some vehicles that were used for a party meeting.”
