BJP MLA Terash Gowalla resigns

Guwahati, October 23, 2018:

Terash Gowalla, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Duliajan resigned from legislation on Tuesday.

Reportedly, the MLA protest against the appointment of Bolin Chetia as the chairman of the Assam Gas Company. He further alleged that huge corruption is going on in the appointment for various posts in the corporation offices.

Interestingly the resignation came on the day of the Assam bandh called by the 46 organizations across Assam against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016.
