BJP MP’s daughter asked to surrender

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 20, 2018:

The Gauhati High Court on Monday ordered Pallavi Sharma to surrender before the Court of Special Judge here on or before 24^th August.

An accused in the infamous cash-for-job scam, Pallavi is the daughter of RP Sharma, BJP MP from Tezpur Lok Sabha constituency.

She was arrested on 18^th July this year and incarcerated at the Guwahati Central Jail, before being granted 14-day interim bail on 1^st August by the Gauhati High Court as her father’s health was not in good condition.

But following a medical report that the MP’s health had improved, the high court on Monday directed Pallavi to surrender.
