The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday is organizing protests all across the nation demanding an apology from former Congress President Rahul Gandhi (popularly known as RaGa) for his comments against the Government over the Rafale deal. In Guwahati, the Congress unit staged a demonstration in front of Rajiv Bhawan.

This was earlier announced by Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday, who lashed out against former Congress President Rahul Gandhi for his allegations against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government

Speaking on the sidelines of a programme in Diphu town in Karbi Anglong, Biswa Sarma said that the BJP party will be organizing massive across the cpou "The party will be The program will be organized in the entire country on the 16th demanding apology from Rahul Gandhi for making false allegations against our Government", he said.

Earlier, Biswa Sarma had launched a scathing attack against the Congress party on Twitter after the Rafale verdict came out. In his tweet, Biswa Sarma wrote, "Gang of perennial rumour mongers gets a rude shock from Hon Supreme Court as all petitions against data-query-source="hashtag_click">#Rafale deal filed by them are dismissed. The “fishing expedition” of Arun Shourie, Yashwant Sinha & Prashant Bhushan goes topsy turvy."
It may be mentioned here that the Supreme Court on Thursday gave a clean chit to the NDA government and dismissed the three review petitions on the Rafale fighter jet deal. It also closed the contempt proceedings against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his ‘chowkidar chor hai’ comments.
