Guwahati, January 27, 2019:

Former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Sunday alleged that the base of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is Communalism and they should remove the term Secularism from the constitution of India.

Addressing the media, Gogoi said, “BJP is carrying out their dirty politics in the name of religion and if possible, they should remove the word ‘Secularism’ from the constitution of Indian.

Slamming Himanta Biswa Sarma to be tailless tiger who wants to bite anyone who comes on his path, Tarun Gogoi said, “Sarma is mentally not stable and do not possess the right to position in the ministry.”

He added, “In the fear that Himanta will gain more support from the Centre for supporting the Bill, Sarbanada has come out with his voice and broke his silence.”

The former CM said that if the Bill gets passed, all the efforts of the Supreme Court will go in vain and the NRC will be of no use.
