In a shocking incident that took place in Tinsukia yesterday, BJP members were attacked by Citizenship Bill protestors while they were on their way to attend a programme organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at Gopal Chandra Ravichandra Natya Mandir.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has carried out a silent protest rally following the recent incident of thrashing of Tinsukia district’s BJP president Lakheswar Moran as well as other members of the party on Wednesday.

The protest has been attended by State BJP president Ranjit Kumar Dass, State BJP secretary Pullak Gohain and Digboi MLA Suren Phukan and other members of the BJP.

Addressing the media, Pullak Gohain said that the people who were involved in the attack of the BJP members must be arrested and punished.
