BJP WILL SWEEP PANCHAYAT POLLS: SARBANANDA SONOWAL

Guwahati, November 10. 2018:

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will sweep the Panchayat Polls.

Convening a high-level meeting in Guwahati to discuss the poll preparations, Sonowal said, “The people of Assam will embrace us for development of the state and we will win the Panchayat election by a huge margin”.

Sonowal however did not comment about forging an alliance with the Asom Gana Parishad.

It may be mentioned that the Panchayat polls will be held in two phases. Counting will take place on December 12.
