The Assam Minister informed this via social media platform, Twitter. "Today at 1.30 pm with blessings of PM Sri Narendra Modi GoI under the leadership of HM Sri Amit Shah shall sign a historic Bodo Accord by bringing four groups of NDFB together", the Minister wrote, adding that the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) will be a key signatory in this Accord.

The Assam Minister also wrote that new treaty will "reaffirm the territorial integrity of the state".

"The Bodo Accord shall reaffirm the territorial integrity of Assam and at the same time usher us into a new hope of peace and progress in Bodoland. My best wishes", Biswa Sarma wrote.

Meanwhile, an indefinite 'bandh' has been called in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) areas by the non-Bodo organizations to protest against the Accord as many organizations believe that the new Accord will be detrimental to the non-Bodo community and hamper their rights.

"We will die, but we will not accept this new Accord", said a bandh supporter, while talking to mediapersons.
