The Bodoland Students’ Union (BSU) on Monday denied the allegations made against the BSU and its members regarding the attack on All Bodo Students’ Union members on April 23 during the last hour of the Lok Sabha polls in Kokrajhar.

In an official statement, the BSU president Swgwmsath Basumatary and vice- president Santosh Jhah slammed the allegation as totally baseless and is not acceptable at all.
They further alleged that the ABSU members attacked Bilifang Narzary (one of the accused by ABSU) by stopping his car in the road with the intention to murder him near Amala Bhawan he and an accomplice were heading home after shopping.
The BSU president alleged that the ABSU members were, in fact, trying to intimidate voters on the day of the election. As a result, they were beaten up by the public by a mob where the president of BSU and other BPF leaders and supporters were not involved.
It is to be mentioned that the ABSU had lodged FIR in KOkrajhar police station against BSU members alleging involvement in the attack on the ABSU members on April 23.
