Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon, Adil Khan received the prestigious ‘Champions of Change’ Award from the Niti Ayog, for remarkable work done during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi District.
Hailakandi ranked first in the country among the 115 Aspirational districts in the category of most improved districts, on the basis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) till December last year. Hailakandi will receive a fund of Rs 10 crores, as a reward for this achievement.
Khan was felicitated by CEO, Niti Ayog, Amitabh Kant, in presence of Collectors of other districts, representatives of ADB, UNDP, JICA and senior central government officers, in Delhi.
Khan also shared his experience of working in Hailakandi in the conference. He gave credit for this achievement to hard work of Team Hailakandi, and strong support and guidance from the CM, CS and State Government as well as the Prabhari Officer. Khan is optimistic that Hailakandi has all the potential and now with additional funds from CPSEs and the Niti Ayog, it will improve even more.
