KOKRAJHAR: Newly-inducted Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Biswajit Daimary, taking a swipe at his former camp Bodoland People's Front (BPF) is headed towards a crushing defeat in the ensuing Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections.

"BPF party is facing a massive defeat in the BTC elections to be held on December 7 and 10 for the 40 member house", ex Rajya Sabha MP and BJP leader Biswajit Daimary said addressing media persons.

Addressing the reporters today at the BJP party office in Kokrajhar, BJP leader Biswajit Daimary expressed that the common voters are voting in favour of the BJP party for change and development. "BJP will score absolute majority in the BTC council elections," he said.

Lambasting his former party, Daimary said that the BPF party is headed towards massive defeat in the council elections due to their "misrule" in the BTC administration in the last 17 years.

"There are a lot of corruptions and anomalies in BTC administration", Gogoi said.

He said that the BJP party is committed to working for "integration and welfare as well as development for all communities in the region."

"BPF leaders never thought for the welfare and development of the common masses, they only think for their self-interest", Daimary said, adding that although BPF leaders built their buildings, it was not for citizens through the government schemes and projects.

Daimary further accused that the BPF has no any agenda to work for the common masses.

Daimary said that he has not joined the BJP party to be chief or an executive member or leader in the BTC region, but to serve the common masses through good governance. It needs mention here that the BJP party is contesting in 26 seats in the BTC council elections.
