KOKRAJHAR: Assam Social welfare minister and senior Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) leader Pramila Rani Brahma who have been contesting continuously for the sixth time in 30 years today filed her nomination papers for the 30th Kokrajhar East (Tribal Protected) Assembly constituency today for the Assam assembly elections.

 

With thousands of supporters from near the NRL Petrol Pump in Kokrajhar town, she has filed her nominations claiming that she will win the elections for the seventh time as well.

 

When asked, if there is a wave of anti-establishment sentiments against her for being an MLA for 30 years, she said that the voters are confident in her record and this time also she will win with the record number of votes.

 

She said that election is not that easy. Pramila Rani Brahma will contest against the UPPL this time.

When she was asked about what will be their goal if they voted to power, Pramila Rani Brahma has made an explosive remark that Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) will be rescued again.

 

This time, Pramila Rani Brahma will contest against All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) general secretary Lawrence Islary.

 

Earlier this day Islary has also filed his nomination for the constituency.
