This was disclosed by BPF president Hagrama Mohilary, who is also the chief of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), at a mass public awareness programme at Salbari in Baksa district. The programme was organised by the BPF.

Mohilary told reporters that the lotus would not bloom in the Kokrajhar seat in the Lok Sabha elections. He said it would be a tri-angular fight in the Mangaldoi constituency.

“We are very optimistic about Mangaldoi. We should get Mangaldoi,” Mohilary said.

The BTC chief asserted that development could not take place in Salbari and Mathanguri constituencies as the local MCLAs were not from the BPF.
