DUDHNOI: Bablu Rabha, who was martyred in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal attack on Saturday, was cremated in his native village Damrapatpara in Goalpara district today.
The last rites of the brave heart was performed with full state honours in presence of a large gathering.
Officials of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Assam Police paid rich tributes to the martyred soldier.
Rabha was slain along with 21 other security personnel. The encounter with Naxals took place in the jungles of Bijapur.
Rabha was a part of the elite unit of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA).

Rabha joined the CRPF in 2009. He came home in November last year and was supposed to visit his home town again during Bohag Bihu.
The Assam government has promised all possible aid to Rabha’s family. The state government as a policy of extending ex-gratia financial aid to the families of armed forces martyrs.
