Breaking: AJP leader Lurin Jyoti Gogoi to also contest from Naharkati LAC

GUWAHATI: The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president Lurin Jyoti Gogoi will also contest from the Naharkatia Assembly Constituency in the first phase of polling, the party confirmed.

On Friday, the party had informed that its leader would be contesting from 'oil town' Duliajan.

In Naharkatia, Lurin will come up against Taranga Gogoi from BJP, and Pranati Phukan from Congress.

In Duliajan, Gogoi will face competition from Dhruba Gogoi of Congress and Terash Gowalla of BJP.
