BREAKING | Blast rocks Imphal West in Manipur

Guwahati, February 7, 2019:

A blast has rocked West Imphal district in Manipur. Reports have emerged that the blast, which occurred at 6:15 pm today, has left five people injured. According to reports, 3 Assam Rifles jawans and one non-Manipuri sugarcane seller were injured at the site of the blast.

The blast took place in the Polo Ground area in Imphal's Kangjeibung. It is suspected that the blast was triggered by IEDs (improvised explosive device).

At the time of writing, heavy security has been deployed to the site of the blast.
