Nagaland, March 3, 2019:

Four miners died in a coal mine in Nagaland while working. The tragic incident has occurred in Yonglok village Nagaland’s Longleng district on Sunday.

All four of the miners, who are believed to have died after inhaling toxic gases inside the mine, hail from Assam. The names of three of the deceased are Krishna Gogoi, Tutu Neul and Dhaneswar. The fourth person who died during the incident is yet to be identified.

It is to be mentioned that mining mishaps are common in the Northeast and as recently as December, a tragic incident occurred in Ksan in Meghalaya where fifteen workers were trapped inside a ‘rat-hole’ mine.
