A mild intensity earthquake has jolted Assam on Monday evening at around 6: 06 pm.
The tremor of the mild intensity earthquake was felt in Guwahati and nearby districts as per reports.

The epicenter and the magnitude of the earthquake are yet to be known. No damage to life and property has been reported so far.
The earthquake has been felt amidst Durga Puja fervour.

It may be mentioned here that on October 3, a medium-intensity earthquake struck Manipur in the morning. As per reports, the epicentre of the earthquake was located 3 kilometers away from Lamlai in Manipur. According to reports, the impact of the quake was felt both in the Northeast Indian states as well as in neighboring country Myanmar.
