In a shocking development, improvised explosive devices (IED) have been recovered in Assam's Tinsukia district as the people are headed out in droves to participate in the world's largest democratic exercise.

As per reports, the IEDs were being kept on top of oil pipelines at Lankashi Methola tea estate.

Meanwhile, a number of police personnel have been deployed to the area and further investigations are underway.
